The water project in the rural Nicaraguan community of Las Marias is almost complete. The work supported by PGL that was the responsibility of the people in the community is done. A new power transformer needs to be installed to operate the water pump that will make the system fully functional. We hope this will happen soon. This picture shows the new tank and a pump station building that will protect the water pump. The community has also installed new PVC water pipe and taps to the homes of the families that will get water from this new system. In total, more than 1,200 people will now have clean and plentiful water, thanks to the efforts of PGL and the people of Gettysburg. The people in Las Marias send their gratitude and say again and again, thank you.
