Project Gettysburg Leon supports two projects that work with at-risk young people and in the past decade has supported dozens of such projects. We currently cover costs for a social worker at a center for children who either live on the streets or in very low-income circumstances. This helps to keep these kids from dropping out. PGL also provides food support and helps in other ways at a sepatate pre-school and orphanage located in the city of Leon. This education center has sixty children enrolled, fifteen of whom live on-site full-time and all of whom receive a full meal each day with PGL’s help.
