PGL continues to work with school gardens in Leon but is also providing support to a food garden program in the rural community of Los Mangles. Over thirty families are now participating in this project. The families receive training in biointensive gardening, which allows for growing a lot of food in a small space. They also receive tools and seed and working together with other organizations, women have learned how to build solar dryers so they can save their own seed.
