{"id":3274,"date":"2023-05-17T17:22:28","date_gmt":"2023-05-17T17:22:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.gettysburg-leon.org\/staging\/?p=3274"},"modified":"2023-07-26T17:59:52","modified_gmt":"2023-07-26T17:59:52","slug":"test-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gettysburg-leon.org\/pgl2\/test-project\/","title":{"rendered":"PGL Support for the Arts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Project Gettysburg Leon has over several decades supported the arts in Nicaragua, which has included support of cross-cultural exchanges between the U.S. and Nicaragua for painters and sculptors, but also support of classes in music, traditional dance and ceramics.  In 2021, PGL sponsored a large-scale mural in downtown Leon on a plaza next to the city&#8217;s cathedral, which is a UN World Heritage site.  In 2022, PGL invited artists from Nicaragua to work on a small-scale mural at The Painted Turtle Farm on the campus of Gettysburg College.  This project is a first step towards future mural projects and artistic sharing.
