SUMMARY:Monthly Potluck Dinner and Meeting
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, April 6th\, PGL will hold its monthly potluck meeting at the Adams County Arts Council.\n\n\n\nProgram: “Lake Camécuaro – The Hidden Heart of Michoacán” \nYadira Lupian Lua\, Adams County resident and local artist\, will be our wonderful guide as we recreate this magical lake in our own paintings. Yadira’s work can be seen in both Tacos Monarcas and La de Michoacán\, two culinary treats in Gettysburg. The daughter of Michoacán natives\, Yadira serves as the Digital Director for the Pennsylvania Office of Administration. \nLake Camécuaro\, in Michoacán\, Mexico\, is known for its crystal-clear waters and ancient trees\, but it also holds a tale of love and sorrow. According to Purépecha legend\, Princess Huanita was kidnapped by a jealous priest and hidden away. Her tears flowed endlessly\, forming the lake. When her beloved Tangáxhuan rescued her\, a spring burst from the ground where the priest fell — still feeding the lake today. \nCamécuaro means “place of hidden sorrow” — and\, under Yadira’s guidance\, your painting will capture this unique lake’s beauty and its soul.
